Happy Winter!

It seems that winter is upon us. With that brings cold/flu season, snow days and the holidays. I wanted to take a minute to review my policies around these incidents that might disrupt our regular appointment schedule. 

 

Illness: If you are sick, please be in touch as soon as possible to cancel your appointment. I appreciate as much notice as possible if you think you will need to miss your appointment. If you have a fever or are in GI distress, please reschedule.

 

There is an excellent chance that I will need to cancel your appointment due to my own sickness at some point this winter. I will give you as much notice as possible when this is the case. 

 

Inclement Weather: Typically, if school is cancelled in your town and/or Portsmouth, our appointment will be cancelled. Reach out through text/email/call to confirm. If school isn’t cancelled but you don’t feel comfortable driving, be in touch to reschedule. 

 

Office Closure: My office will be closed between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Though I won’t be open for traditional office hours, I will be available in case of an emergency. In addition, my office will be closed for a portion of NH February vacation week (2/25-3/1).

 

Cancelled Appointments:  If our appointment is cancelled, I’ll try my best to fit you in within that week, but my schedule is very full, and it may not be possible. I don’t want anyone to come in ill or when road conditions are dangerous; I’ll waive the cancellation fee when appropriate.
